Such a disappointing day for High today. A trend developed in our results as the morning progressed with only one minor deviation:
Yr 10 2nd VIII: Last
Yr 10 1st VIII: 6th
3rd IV: Last
2nd IV: Last
1st IV: Last
2nd VIII: Last
1st VIII: Last
Not good. Not good at all. Sadly other sports have continued the trend:
Tennis 2nds: Last (4 points from 84)
Tennis 1sts: Last (13.5 points from 84)
Basketball 2nds Last
Basketball 1sts Last (2 wins from 14)
Cricket was slightly more successful with a semi-respectable finish at around 5th.
Winter is looking even worse. Football/soccer may improve and possibly not come last as happened last year. However we have no chance of winning a game in 1st grade Rugby (minimum losing margin will be possibly as high as 40). Sad times ahead and sadly my sporting ability is low so i can't help. Couple this with rumours that Waverley College are looking to enter the GPS competition and things are not looking good for sport at High (except in Debating ;).

as if they'll kick us out. scots didn't win a premiership last year. is there talk of kicking them out? oh, they're really rich i hear you say? which is the school with security cameras every two meters? and an ultra modern scan-on roll call system?
ha! one year after we finish fourth at Head everyone wants to kick us out. does anyone question scots' repeated presence at the bottom of the head/sport/even debating ladders??? i think not. and plus "we'll beat you in the HSC".. |

I'm with Dora.
You guys go to one of the most stuck up schools I know, and you openly admit you suck. It is really, really funny.
That said I do wish I'd gone to head of the river. Some of my friends went, and actually met decent GPS boys. Damn
I doubt Waverly will get into the GPS, unless they kick you guys out . . .

I should've been at the MDRA, not at the Head of the river. But oh wells - that's another half-category for me; and there will be plenty other MDRA's later.
I though we were good at tennis. |
